The exhibition "VOCES Oral History Center at 25," on view now through April 7, 2025 in the second floor gallery, celebrates the work of VOCES and highlights the Benson's archival holdings from the VOCES Center.

This exhibition explores the creative potential of zines: their ability to depict humanity in ways that generatively stretch the imagination, using what we've called the "more than human" to recapture agency over marginalized bodies. It is now on view in the Reading Room of the Fine Arts Library through May 10, 2025.

Cats and dogs inspire artists, scientists, and everyday folks. This selection of books covers the many ways we humans study, interact, cherish, and love domesticated animals. You'll find memoirs about beloved pets helping their humans recover from addiction, graphic novels about zany pet shenanigans, and even a feline detective solving murders! We hope you'll learn something new about our furry friends and appreciate them in deeper and more meaningful ways! The "Before You Go: Preparing for Archival Research & Digitization" workshop teaches participants strategies and important considerations for preparing 1) to visit libraries or archives in-person, both local and international, and 2) to digitize materials at those institutions.

In this Using AI for Research workshop, we will investigate the utility of two AI research tools, Elicit and Consensus.

This virtual Digital Humanities Workshop will serve as an introduction for attendees to the best practices and tools for personal email archiving.

This hybrid event will feature information about computing services available to UT researchers that are offered by Enterprise Technology, OVPRSCE, the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), and UT Libraries at The University of Texas at Austin. We will highlight specific research computing services and also hear from two of our faculty and staff teams about active research computing projects.

In this in-person Using AI for Research session, we will demonstrate how to use AI literature mapping tools, including ResearchRabbit and Inciteful.
