The University of Texas at Austin Libraries will host an in-person 3-day systematic review and evidence synthesis boot camp in the Scholars Lab. Participants will begin with their own research question and leave with a well-developed search strategy along with next steps for progressing in their evidence synthesis project. Evidence synthesis tools such as Rayyan and SR Accelerator will be covered. Participation in this boot camp requires that at least one member of your evidence synthesis team be able to attend each of the in-class instruction sessions. Subject librarians with expertise in evidence synthesis will provide one-to-one support for each project in optional one-hour sessions after the instructional sessions.
Day 1: Overview of protocol development & search strategies
Day 2: In-depth search, including terminology development & translation
Day 3: Strategies & tools for assessing findings and de-duplication
We will not cover: Article coding, data extraction and writing up the evidence synthesis project
