Open education work is often a solitary venture in the library. When you are the solo OER librarian, or the sole librarian whose OER work is an additional duty on top of your main role, it can be especially challenging to maintain momentum for open education initiatives. In this OER @ TDL quarterly meeting, join our panel for an informal discussion on the challenges of sustaining open education initiatives in a solo role, and how we can develop strategies for creating resilient OER programs by leveraging the support of our community.
Quarterly OER @ TDL meetings are organized by the TDL OER Users Group and are open to anyone interested, regardless of membership in the Texas Digital Library.
The OER @ TDL meetings are not recorded in order to cultivate candid conversations. Presentations and resources shared during the meeting will be shared with registrants afterward.
Panelists include:
- Alexa Hight, Scholarly Communications Librarian, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
- Alexander Rodriguez, Senior Research Librarian/Open Educational Resource Librarian, University of Texas at Dallas
- Cheryl (Cuillier) Casey, Open Education Librarian, University of Arizona
Moderated by Sabrina Davis, Open Educational Resources Librarian, Texas Tech University
