Request materials for pick up
Request eligible available items via the library catalog. From the item’s record you can click “Pick It Up” to request that library staff retrieve the item and put it on hold at any Libraries branch checkout desk. Requested items, including items from the Library Storage Facility, are typically available for pick up by 5 p.m. the next business day.
Library items must check out for 14 or more days to be eligible for a “Pick It Up” request. Course reserves and other limited loan items cannot be requested for pick up. You will be notified via email to pick up the item when it is ready.
Recall an Item
Checked out items with an original loan period of 14 or more days may be recalled at any time. Recalling an item will usually shorten its loan period. To recall a checked-out item click “Pick It Up” in the item’s catalog record. The libraries will contact the patron who has the item and let them know the item has been requested and the due date has been changed. The new due date on most recalled items will be 14 days after the recall is placed.
