Position Title: ILS Senior Student Associate
Department: Interlibrary Services (ILS)
Supervisor: Cora Godfrey
Position is subject to renewal each semester.
Work Schedule: 10-15 hours/week, as arranged, between 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday (Note: more hours/week may be available during summer session.)
Duties: Paging the library stacks for requested books & other materials (i.e., locating the items & bringing them to our office); scanning chapters/articles and delivering the scans electronically; opening incoming mail, checking in returned materials, and receiving materials; plus other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: UT Austin student enrolled in minimum of 6 credits for the fall 2024 semester. Must have work-study award for fall 2024 semester. Must be able to maintain a regular schedule. Ability to learn skills quickly; we will provide training.
Preferred Qualifications: Any prior library or scanning experience will be helpful.
We want to emphasize that although experience in certain areas is desirable, candidates who meet the required qualifications and demonstrate excellent promise are encouraged to apply and will be given serious consideration.
Working Conditions: Regular indoor working conditions.
Rate of Pay: $13.00
